Pat McAfee Makes Surprising Announcement About New Project
Always ready to surprise, Pat McAfee is releasing his debut album. And for those who may think he’s joking, it certainly doesn’t sound like that’s the case.
The WVU legend turned media mogul announced his first album, full of songs he’s been writing throughout the past 20 years, will hit the airwaves on August 14th.
“For as long as I can remember, my mere existence has made people hate my guts.. I’ve been writing songs about it for 20 years and it’s time to let them aht..,” he said as part of a post about the news on social media.
And as far as his reasoning, McAfee wants to set the record straight about who he’s become as a person. “A LOT of headlines and narratives.. if I was to die, I’d like my kids to know exactly who their dad is.”
In typical McAfee fashion, he also left his wants curious and wanting to hear more. Because with “The Diary of a Polarizing Figure” set be available in a couple of weeks, there’s still no hint on the genre of music or what to expect as far as the messaging.

Probably rap music though We’ll see. He certainly has the right to write his music but this seems like another example of maybe you should stay in your lane.
