Following West Virginia’s seventh-consecutive loss on Tuesday night, fifth-year senior Pauly Paulicap expressed his frustrations about trying to stay positive.

“I want to try and stay positive, but it’s kind of hard to when things have been going the way they have been,” Paulicap said.

Paulicap has been WVU’s energy player off of the bench this season. The DePaul transfer has come in and given the team great production. Against Oklahoma on Tuesday, Paulicap finished with 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. Paulicap also had five rebounds in the loss.

“Obviously, I liked what we got out of him, or I wouldn’t have played as many minutes as I played him, ” WVU head coach Bob Huggins said. “It’s foolish to not play him more minutes.”

Paulicap is averaging 3.1 points and 3.3 rebounds through 30 games for West Virginia.
