Sagaba Konate Signs with the Toronto Raptors

Christopher Hall

Former West Virginia Forward Sagaba Konate signs with the reigning NBA Champs Toronto Raptors Tuesday afternoon, after having to sit out of the NBA summer league due to recovering from a knee injury.

Konate signed an exhibit 10 NBA contract that has a signing bonus upwards of 50,000 dollars. This guarantees an invite to the Raptors camp for a roster spot to make the league minimum.

If he is waived, he can be offered the 50,000 to play in the G-League for 60 days and/or can be converted to a two-way contract like former Mountaineer Jevon Carter received last year with the Memphis Grizzlies.
