Mountaineers in the Pros
Steelers CB Beanie Bishop Has Possession of Aaron Rodgers Autographed Footballs
Aaron Rodgers kept his end of his promise and Beanie Bishop has his footballs. Bishop now has possession of the autographed footballs from his big game against Rodgers. He was even pictured in the Streakers locker room holding the balls on Wednesday.
This comes several weeks after Bishop emerged on the national scene by picking off the future Hall of Fame quarterback twice during a Sunday Night Football Steelers win over the Jets. Bishop then turned around and picked up another interception on Monday Night Football, which led to being named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for October.

And not only did Bishop seal Pittsburgh’s Monday Night Football win with an interception, but he apparently did it after calling his shot.
“I told Alex Highsmith that I was going to end the game that drive, honestly. And that’s just something that I pride myself on, just trying to go out there and get a stop to finish the game,” said Bishop to reporters after the game.
Bishop also doesn’t have any plans to show down any time soon, especially since he’s well aware he tends to stay hot once he starts grabbing picks.
“I don’t know, hopefully a long time. When I get my turnovers, they come in bunches.”

In addition to the trifecta of big picks, Bishop has recorded 25 total tackles and a half of a sack so far during his rookie season.
Bishop has continually reiterated his desire to prove his doubters, even NFL teams who passed on him, wrong ever since he showed up in Pittsburgh as a free agent signee of the Steelers.
“It’s one of those things that helps me every day whenever I think about getting comfortable,” Bishop expressed to WV Sports Now in May.
Bishop has actually carried a chip on his shoulder going back to when he was an undersized kid. That chip then intensified when he had to start his college career at a Group of 5 program in Western Kentucky.
“I’m 0 surprised with Beanie. He’s a football player. He may not check off all the boxes but he’s a football player,” said WVU head coach Neal Brown when asked about Bishopmaking his presence felt with the Steelers in training camp.
Bishop became a consensus All-American in his lone season as a Mountaineer in 2023. He picked off four passes for WVU.
There’s no word on if Bishop wants Jones’ autograph like how he requested Rodgers’ signature.
