ISU Softball with WVU Baseball signed jersey

In an effort to keep their newfound relationship going with their softball team at Iowa State, the WVU baseball team sent their new friends a gift.

And it’s a pretty cool gift too. West Virginia sent ISU an autographed jersey, complete with signatures from the current team and their head coach Randy Mazey. ISU player, who has been often representing her team for this story publicly Lea Nelson, posted about receiving the gift on Twitter.

“What a beautiful surprise!! Thank you, @WVUBaseball,” Nelson tweeted with a vide of her team opening a package with the jersey and a message from WVU. She also included a picture of the Cyclones holding the jersey.

One ISU player could even be heard saying, “is that the coach?!” as the rest of the team chanted Mazey’s name with excitement. Not that they are planning to sell off this gift, but Mazey’s signature being there adds some value since he just surpassed 500 career wins this season.
