Watch: Geno Smith Puts 49ers to Sleep After Pulling Out Win in Final Seconds
Once again, Geno Smith accomplished something he’s been known for during his career resurgence – win a game that appeared destined to be a loss. And to top it all off, he hit the 49ers with the “night night” after his heroics.
Despite throwing an interception and failing to toss a touchdown all game, Smith led the Seahawks on a game-winning drive in the final seconds. Down 17-13 with 12 seconds remaining, Smith found the end zone for the first time, keeping the ball himself and securing a 20-17 road win over San Francisco.
With :12 seconds left, it’s only right.

Overall in the game, Smith threw for 221 yards and ran for 29 more. Even though the offense struggled to score most of the game, Smith was efficient, completing 78.1% of his passes.
With the critical win, Seattle evened their record to 5-5, keeping pace in the wide open NFC West race.
Smith’s celebration then sparked a big reaction on social media.
