Watch: Mazey, Strechay React to No-Hitter Again Kent State
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Freshman Tyler Strechay threw five perfect innings against Kent State Wednesday evening. It was the start of a stellar Mountaineer pitching performance that saw Strechay, Dillon Meadows, Skylar Gonzalez and Jacob Watters combine to no-hit the Golden Flashes. WVU coach Randy Mazey said Strechay relied more on his fastball Wednesday, leading to greater success. Strechay said he had been using his breaking pitch and change up too much in previous outings.
