West Virginia Receiver Arrested

Unfortunate news broke this morning for Mountaineer fans as sophomore Wide Receiver Marcus Simms was arrested on a DUI charge. This is a big blow to the Mountaineers receiving core as fellow teammate, Jovon Durante has still yet to report to practice due to “personal issues” Holgorsen says. If Simms remains with the team look for some sort of suspension in the range of 1-2 games.

With this news breaking, this could force new faces such as true freshman Reggie Roberson and JUCO transfer Dominique Maiden into action earlier than anticipated. Holgorsen has repeatedly said he is not very pleased with the backup receivers right now and that he thought they would be further along in their development than they are currently.
