West Virginia Receives Good News in Pursuit of Top 2026 WPIAL ATH
(Nathan Breisinger, Pittsburgh Sports Now) – Neal Brown and the WVU football coaching staff are vying for one of the top four-star talents in the Pittsburgh’s WPIAL for the Class of 2026. And on Wednesday, the Mountaineers received some good news on that front.
Kyshawn Robinson — a 5-foot-10, 170-pound athlete from Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy — placed the Panthers in his top six schools on Tuesday. The Panthers are fighting a steep battle with his other top programs that include Colorado, Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State and Pitt.
Robinson is one of the top prospects to come out of Pittsburgh in the coming years and he had to cut his list from 39 Division I offers. Robinson holds a four-star ranking from 247Sports and Rivals.com. According to 247Sports, Robinson is the 228th player in the cycle, 19th-best safety and sixth-ranked player in Pa.
West Virginia truly entered the race when Robinson and his family visited Morgantown in April.
