West Virginia has signed Lorton, Virginia wide receiver Dillon Spalding. Spalding was the final wide receiver to announce his decision to become a part of a loaded receiver class. Many figured he was going to be bound for Michigan or Virginia Tech, but the mountain state won him over. Spalding is one of the most underrated recruits on the east coast, he makes so many big plays and his great hands make him very reliable. Spalding is on the fence to red shirt or not, but a solid summer could land him some playing time as a true freshman.
Spalding chose the Mountaineers over Michigan on November 27th. Spalding’s superb size and route running may open up early playing time after he enrolls in June.
