WVU Basketball Recruiting
WVU Basketball Among Schools Most Interested in 2026 4-Star Forward
Even though the WVU basketball staff is focused on this current season, they always have their mind on the future of the Mountaineers as well. That’s why Darian DeVries and his staff are making sure the top recruits are aware of their interest.
According to Joe Tipton of On3 Sports, WVU has been zeroing in on one four-star prospect lately. West Virginia is among a group of schools who have made the most contact with a top player in the 2026 class.
4โญ๏ธ Sebastian Wilkins, the No. 35 overall recruit in the 2026 class, tells me these six schools are keeping in the contact the most (in no particular order):

Power forward Sebastian Wilkins has heard from Alabama, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Texas A&M and West Virginia more than any other school.
Wilkins, a 6-foot-8 junior out of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, is ranked as the No. 35 overall recruit in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. Heโs also considered the No. 4 power forward and the No. 1 player in New Hampshire.
WVU has actually been in on Wilkins even before DeVries and his staff took over the program. He received an initial offer from West Virginia on Dec. 31, 2023 and then was re-offered by DeVries’ staff four months ago.
