WVU Basketball Drops Slightly in KenPom as Result of Kansas State Loss
WVU basketball just dropped one spot in the KenPom rankings after a 65-63 loss to Kansas State Tuesday night.
WVU fell from No. 59 to No. 60 with a net rating of +13.35.
West Virginia has a resume of a 70-54 win over Mount Saint Mary’s, a 73-65 win over Campbell, a 69-47 victory over Lehigh, a 71-49 domination of Pitt in the Backyard Brawl, a 81-59 blowout win over Lafayette, a 70-38 routing of Mercyhurst, a 91-49 blowout win over Coppin State, a 90-58 win over Little Rock, an 86-51 win over MVSU, two wins over Cincinnati, a 86-75 upset over Kansas, a convincing 72-61 win over Colorado, 75-63 road win at Arizona State, a gritty 59-54 win over Kansas State, a 74-63 comeback win over UCF and a 79-71 victory over No. 19 BYU.
Looking at the rest of the Big 12, Arizona is No. 3, Houston is No. 6, Iowa State is No. 9, Texas Tech is No. 15, Kansas is No. 16, BYU is No. 24, Cincinnati is No. 42, TCU is No. 45, UCF is No. 49 and Baylor is No. 52.
WVU started last season at No. 87 in the KenPom rankings and ended at No. 51.
West Virginia will take the court again at 8 p.m. on Friday when the team hosts UCF on Senior Night.
