WVU Basketball Gets KenPom Bump After Defeating UCF
WVU basketball inched forward in the KenPom rankings after coming back from down 14 points in the second half against UCF Saturday.
The Mountaineers started the day at No. 59 and now sit at No. 54 with a net rating of 13.80.
West Virginia has a resume of a 70-54 win over Mount Saint Mary’s, a 73-65 win over Campbell, a 69-47 victory over Lehigh, a 71-49 domination of Pitt in the Backyard Brawl, a 81-59 blowout win over Lafayette, a 70-38 routing of Mercyhurst, a 91-49 blowout win over Coppin State, a 90-58 win over Little Rock, an 86-51 win over MVSU, two wins over Cincinnati, a 86-75 upset over Kansas, a convincing 72-61 win over Colorado, 75-63 road win at Arizona State, a gritty 59-54 win over Kansas State and a 74-63 comeback win over UCF.
Looking at the rest of the Big 12, Arizona is No. 2, Houston is No. 4, Iowa State is No. 7, Kansas is No. 15, Texas Tech is No. 17, BYU is No. 22, Baylor is No. 44, TCU is No. 50, Cincinnati is No. 51 and UCF is No. 53.
WVU started last season at No. 87 in the KenPom rankings and ended at No. 51.

I HAVE TO EAT SOME CROW,,,, REGARDLESS OF THE W/L FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON, I THINK HODGE HAS DONE A VERY GOOD GAME,,AND WITH A YR INTO THEPROGRAM AND BEING ABLE TO RECRUIT WITH MORE TIME, I SEE GOOD THINGS AHEAD IN THIS EXTREMELY TUFF CONFERENCE, MAYBE THE BEST
NOW, BAKER HAS TO ALLOCATE MORE MONEY FOR SIGNING PURPOSES,, AND I DON’T KONW IF WE’LL EVER WIN A BI2 CONF, BUT WE’LL BE RESPECTED,,, AND THAT’S WHAT WE NEED NOW,

I WOULD NOT EXTEND HIS CONTRACT IF HE DOES WELL, TILL MIDWAY THRU HIS 3 YR.. AND THEN WE WILL SEE HIS WORTH AT WVU.HE KEEPS SAYING THATH E KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT, ALA HUGGINS, BUT TALK IS CHEAP,, IT’S ALL ABOUT THE W/L RECORD,,FOR FOR THE 26 SEASON , I HOPE LIKE HECK WE BEAT THE HELL OUT OF UVA…..YES I’M LOOKING AT THIS FALL,,,,,AND , AGAIN, WE MUST HAVE A BOWL GAME TO SHOW IMPROVEMENT,,,,,, ,,WE MUST HAVE OR GET A REALLY GOOD DUAL QB THAT’S A MUST IN HIS TYPE BALL,,, I THINK IF WE ONLY WIN 6 GAMES , WE WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IN 26….I KNOW I WILL,, I THINK WE NEED 7 WINS TO SHOW IMPROVEMENT,,
