The tip-off time for West Virginia’s Big 12 road opener against the Kansas Jayhawks Saturday has been announced for 4 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on Big 12 Now and ESPN+.

The Jayhawks moved up to No. 3 in the AP poll this week after a 72-56 victory over Stanford on Sunday. Their leading scorer is Devon Dotson, a sophomore guard scoring 18.8 points per game this season.

The Mountaineers lost twice to Kansas last season once in Lawrence and again in the third round of the Big 12 tournament. WVU, however, did upset Kanas at the Coliseum when the Jayhawks visited Morgantown as the No. 7 ranked team.

This game comes immediately following WVU’s biggest win of the season, over then No. 2 Ohio State on Sunday. The win moved WVU up in the Ap Poll from 22 to six, nearly making this weekend’s game in Lawrence a top-15 meeting.

Sunday’s game against the Buckeyes was in front of 16,000-plus people in the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland and was described as a “tournament atmosphere”. Huggins said playing at Kansas will be no different.

“We’re going to Allen Fieldhouse here next weekend so we get a whole lot of that (atmosphere) in our league,” Huggins said.
