WVU Basketball Sees KenPom Slip After Loss to Wake Forest
WVU basketball dropped in KenPom after a 76-66 loss to Wake Forest Saturday, falling to No. 75.
The Mountaineers have a net rating of 11.48, falling from its previous rating of 12.73.
West Virginia has a resume that consisted of a 70-54 win over Mount Saint Mary’s, a 73-65 win over Campbell, a 69-47 victory over Lehigh, a 71-49 domination of Pitt in the Backyard Brawl, a 81-59 blowout win over Lafayette, a 70-38 routing of Mercyhurst and a 91-49 blowout win over Coppin State.
WVU started last season at No. 87 in the KenPom rankings and ended at No. 51.
This season marks the first year of Ross Hodge at the helm of WVU, with the program seeing its fourth head coach in as many years.
Looking at the rest of the Big 12, Iowa State is No. 2, Houston is No. 8, Arizona is No. 9, BYU is No. 10, Kansas is No. 18, Texas Tech is No. 30, Baylor is No. 33, Oklahoma State is No. 53, TCU is No. 57, UCF is No. 62, Colorado is No. 67 and Cincinnati is No. 74.
