WVU C Zach Frazier Suffers Significant Injury, WR Preston Fox in Hospital
The Mountaineers may have escaped Waco with a win Saturday night, but that doesn’t mean everyone left the stadium happy.
First off, WVU head coach Neal Brown confirmed that center Zach Frazier suffered a significant injury towards the end of the game. Frazier was seen angrily going to the sidelines limping in the fourth quarter. By limping off, he avoided his team enduring a 10-second runoff of time.
WVU HC Neal Brown on Zach Frazier: "He has an injury that is significant. Don’t know how long he’ll be out, but he probably won’t play in the bowl game."

“He has an injury that is significant. Don’t know how long he’ll be out, but he probably won’t play in the bowl game,” Brown said during his postgame press conference. The quick statement about the bowl game is likely largely due to his prospects as an NFL draft pick.
It’s expected Brandon Yates, who replaced him in the game, will now start in the bowl game.
Frazier was not the only injury update for Brown after the game. Wide receiver Preston Fox was taken to the hospital before the game was over. Brown said he does not know anything beyond that at this time. It appeared as if Fox had the wind knocked out of him after making a catch.
