Former WVU defensive back Jason Chambers will get his chance at the NFL after all.

On Saturday, Chambers received a late rookie mini-camp invite from the New York Jets.

Chambers transferred to West Virginia ahead of the 2025 season. He recorded 34 total tackles with four pass deflections and an interception.

Before becoming a Mountaineer, Chambers played 11 games at Appalachian State in 2024, recording 38 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, a pass breakup and an interception.

Pro Football Focus graded the 5-foot-11, 193 pound Chambers as one of the top five cornerbacks in the Sun Belt for his efforts. Prior to his success with North Carolinaโ€™s Mountaineers, Chambers spent two seasons at North Carolina Central, earning First Team All-HBCU honors in 2023.
