WVU Football Labels TCU Matchup ‘Coal Rush’ Game
When the WVU football team returns to West Virginia after their upcoming trip to Florida, they will be preparing for the annual “Coal Rush” game.
On Monday, West Virginia announced their next home game against TCU will the “Coal Rush” game. WVU vs. TCU is set to kickoff at 6 pm ET and be televised on ESPN+.
In addition to dubbing it the “Coal Rush” game, the TCU matchup will be considered West Virginia’s homecoming as well.
WVU debuted alternate “Coal Rush” themed uniform during the 2024 season.

Before getting back home to Milan Puskar Stadium, WVU will face UCF in Orlando this weekend.
West Virginia is currently coming off a 38-24 loss at BYU and 2-4 and 0-3 in Big 12 play.
At the open of the new week, most major sportsbooks have WVU as an underdog against UCF. While not as big of an underdog as recent weeks, both DraftKings and FanDuel have West Virginia as at least a touchdown underdog to UCF.
WVU and UCF are set to battle at FBC Mortgage Stadium at 1 pm ET.
