WVU Football LB Enters Transfer Portal in Search of Playing Time

About a year after committing to join the WVU football program, linebacker Keenan Eck becomes the latest Mountaineer to enter the transfer portal.

With the transfer portal now officially open, Eck revealed he’s available by posting a clip from a practice on Friday.

Eck did not appear in a game for West Virginia in 2025. The 6-foot-2, 235-pound pass rusher totaled 26 tackles, six sacks and forced one fumble in 2024.

Before signing with West Virginia, Eck earned All-Conference honors at the JUCO level.

Between one season apiece at D-II South Hills State and Citrus College (JUCO), Eck recorded 14.5 sacks, 10.5 tackles for loss, 39 tackles and five forced fumbles.
