After not having played them for twenty years, West Virginia has scheduled an upcoming series of games against Ohio U.

WVU Athletic Director Shane Lyons announced on Wednesday that the two schools have agreed to play a three-game series starting in 2025.

The three-game series will consist of two games being played in Morgantown with the other in Athens, Ohio. The first game will be played on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in Athens. The second game will be played in Morgantown on September 18, 2027, while the final game will take place two years later on September 1, 2029.

In terms of the all-time series, West Virginia holds the advantage having won 13 of the previous 17 games, including the last game in 2001 as they came away with a 20-3 win.

This is the third schedule non-conference game for West Virginia in 2025 with the other two coming against Robert Morris (August 30) and Pitt (September 13).
