The WVU football staff continues to take advantage of the expanded scholarship numbers, sending an offer to another 2026 tight end prospect. Tight ends coach Michael Nysewander extended an offer to Brady Shust, a 6-foot-6, 245-pound three-star out of New Jersey, last week.

Shust revealed his West Virginia offer on Feb. 13 by posting a picture of WVU’s most recent top tight end Kole Taylor.

A product of St. Joseph’s Regional High School in Montvale, N.J., Shust, who also plays left field for the school’s baseball team, carries a three-star rating from Rivals and is ranked as one of the top 20 players in the state.

For an idea of his baseball ability, he hit .330 and belted five home runs during his sophomore season.

Shust has 16 total Division I offers in addition to the Mountaineers. He’s all been offered by Army, Boston College, Charlotte, Delaware, Duke, JMU, Liberty, Marshall, Rhode Island, Syracuse, Temple, Tulane, UConn, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

The Army and Tulane offers are among the most recent besides his latest from West Virginia. Shust took multiple trips to Virginia Tech in 2024 and visited Boston College and Notre Dame as well.
