WVU Women’s Basketball Climbing Top 25 Towards End of Regular Season

With only two games left in the regular season, WVU women’s basketball continues to be move up the rankings. West Virginia came in at No. 17 at the start of the week, ranked as the second highest Big 12 school.

As far as the Big 12 in the Associated Press’ top 25, TCU sits six spots ahead of the Mountaineers at No. 11, Baylor is one back at No. 18 and Texas Tech comes in at No. 20.

WVU crushed Oklahoma State 72-40 on Saturday, Feb. 21, riding five Gia Cooke three-pointers and a Kierra โ€œMemeโ€ Wheeler double-double to victory.

The win pushes the No. 19 Mountaineers (22-6, 12-4 Big 12) into second place in the conference with two games remaining, half a game behind TCU.

Up next, WVU Womenโ€™s Basketball will travel to face UCF at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
