As voted by the national Colligate Baseball Writers Association, WVU pitcher Jacob Watters was named to the Preseason All-America Third Team on Tuesday night. Watters is the 10th Mountaineer in program history to be named on the list.

Watters is in his junior season under manager Randy Mazey. The right-handed pitcher from Rocky Gap, VA, had a great season last year, recording 53 strikeouts in 27.0 innings. Watters posted a 3.33 ERA, allowing 10 earned runs in 19 appearances.

Watters makes it back-to-back year for a Mountaineer to make the Preseason All-America team with Jackson Wolf named to the third-team last year.
