WVU’s Top 2023 Recruit Rodney Gallagher Tells Fan He’s Staying at West Virginia

The headliner of WVU’s 2023 recruiting class is staying at West Virginia for another year. Rodney Gallagher joined the wave Friday night, calming the nerves of a fan.
Soon after Jahiem White announced his return, a fan sent Gallagher a picture that showed him wearing a Gallagher shirt and saying he was going to wear it every day until the four-star recruit committed to remain a Mountaineer.

“Don’t gotta worry about that. I’m here,” Gallagher responded to make his intentions known.
This locks up quarterback Garrett Greene, both of his young wide receivers in Gallagher and Traylon Ray, White, key pieces on the offensive line and others who will all be staying to build upon WVU’s 8-4 regular season in 2023.
Gallagher, a four-star recruit out of nearby Western Pennsylvania based Laurel Highlands High School, made 10 catches for 74 yards as a receiver and was also used on gadget plays. Head coach Neal Brown recently said he believes Gallagher can be star by gilding his body and gaining more experience at the position.
