2023 WVU Commit Rodney Gallagher Announces Plans to Visit for Home Opener

The West Virginia football program will have another chance to impress one of their top commits at the home opener.

Rodney Gallagher announced that he will be in attendance at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown on Saturday night. Gallagher won’t be the only recruit or commit at the game, but he will be the biggest name and most important to impress.

The Laurel Highlands High School product is widely considered the top senior in Western Pennsylvania. He’s also the top ranked recruit of the Neal Brown era and the sixth-highest rated recruit in WVU history, according to 247Sports’ recruiting services.

Through two games, Gallagher now has eight total touchdowns for Laurel Highlands (1-1). Gallagher caught four touchdown passes and took a fumble for another score in a 50-6 win over Uniontown in Week 1.

There’s now extra pressure on Neal Brown to make sure his team shows up and performs in front of the home fans.
