Clemson grad transfer bolsters WVU’s defensive line depth

Just moments ago,  West Virginia head football coach Dana Holgorsen officially announced the signing of defensive tackle Jabril Robinson. Robinson is a grad transfer and will have one year of eligibility remaining and will be eligible immediately. Robinson (6’2″ 270 lbs) adds much needed depth to a defensive line that has been plagued with players transferring out of the program (Jalen Harvey, Adam Shuler, Lamonte McDougle, Jaleel Fields)

In 2017, Robinson notched 19 tackles in limited action over 11 games for the Clemson Tigers. The thing I like most about Robinson other than his talent is that he is a winner. He comes from a program that has reached two national championships, while winning one and making three playoff appearances during his time at Clemson. He brings a winning attitude to the program and that is something that could certainly help the younger guys who will have to take on bigger roles in 2018.

Robinson will be expected to compete for playing time at the nose position with sophomore Darius Stills and redshirt senior Brenon Thrift.
