Clemson Transfer TE Josh Sapp Picks WVU Football for New School
Rich Rodriguez and WVU football has added another Power Four transfer at a position of need, winning the commitment of Clemson tight end Josh Sapp on Sunday.
Sapp, listed at 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, is a redshirt junior and brings starting experience to West Virginia.
He was part of a career-high 267 snaps as both a blocker and pass catching tight end in 2025, making 11 catches for 150 yards. Sapp has 273 receiving yards with two touchdowns in his college career.
The Greenville, S.C. native was a three star recruit out of high school in 2022. Sapp picked WVU over staying closer to home and jumping to the other side of Clemson-South Carolina rivalry with the Gamecocks.
Sapp will have one year of eligibility as a Mountaineer.
