East Carolina Transfer Forward Ezra Ausar Hears from WVU

East Carolina transfer forward Ezra Ausar has heard from West Virginia, he tells On3 Sports. Ausar is a 6-foot-9 sophomore originally from Atlanta, Ga.

Ausar also has heard from Arizona State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Seton Hall, Utah, Virginia Tech and others since entering the transfer portal on April 1.

Ausar spent two seasons at ECU under head coach Michael Schwartz. Ausar averaged 11.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists through 32 games for the Pirates this past season. Ausar shot 51% from the field and 65% from the free throw line. Ausar averaged 21 points and 9.5 rebounds in the AAC Tournament, scoring 28 points vs. Tulsa.

WVU has landed one transfer commitment in Tucker DeVries so far this offseason losing Josiah Harris (F), Kerr Kriisa (G), Seth Wilson (G) so far. The Mountaineers also plan on hosting Conor Enright (G – Drake) and Toby Okani (F – UIC) for visits this month.
