Jimmori Robinson, Quarterback’s Worst Nightmare | WVU Football All 105
All 105 is a West Virginia Sports Now series profiling each member of the 2025 WVU Football Roster.
Jimmori Robinson began his career at Dodge City Community College in 2019, spending two seasons at the JUCO level before transferring to UTSA. Including a redshirt year, Robinson spent four seasons with the Roadrunners, but is fighting to retain a year of eligibility thanks to an NCAA rule granting extra opportunities to former JUCO athletes.
Robinson honed his craft during those four years in San Antonio, picking up 4.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss in 2023 before breaking out last season, dropping opposing quarterbacks in the backfield 10.5 times. He also added 17 tackles for loss.
Now, he’ll spend his final college season in Morgantown, trying his hand at the highest levels of Division I. Robinson’s upward trajectory and experience should make him a plug-and-play option at edge rusher, giving him one last chance to terrorize opposing quarterbacks.
0 โข Jimmori Robinson, redshirt senior defensive line
Last year: Robinson started 12 of 13 games at UTSA, picking up 10.5 sacks as an outside linebacker.
Stats: 15 sacks, 30 tackles for loss, five pass breakups and three forced fumbles across 44 games (13 starts) with the Roadrunners.
Camp outlook: Robinson hasn’t been allowed to practice with the team and has been forced to work out on his own while waiting for the official word from the NCAA.
Robinson could face a learning curve adjusting from the AAC to the Big 12, but a standout season in 2024 should prepare him well for that jump.
Projected role: Expect Robinson to lock down a starting edge rusher role.
Accolades, highlights: A pass rushing virtuoso, Robinson earned a First Team All-State nod in Virginia during his senior year of high school.
