Malik Curry Says ‘Thank You’ to West Virginia
Former WVU guard Malik Curry gave his thanks to West Virginia in an Instagram post on Thursday night. Curry finished out his final year of eligibility in college basketball this past season with the Mountaineers.

In the spring of 2021, WVU’s coaching staff picked up Curry from the transfer portal. Curry spent two years in JuCo before playing two seasons at Old Dominion. During his sole season at West Virginia, Curry became a reliable offensive player by the end of it. The Delaware native averaged 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals through 33 games. Curry shot 45 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free-throw line. Curry averaged 18.2 points in his final six games with the Mountaineers.
Curry has been working out since the conclusion of the season to focus on his professional career. The former Mountaineer participated in the Tampa Bay Pro Combine, winning the MVP award in his second game.
