New Offer to Talented Forward

Published

on

A new men’s basketball offer went out last week to 6-foot-7 forward Emmitt Matthews Jr. of Tacoma, WA. The playmaking senior has seen his stock rise this offseason, claiming offers from the Mountaineers, Boise State, Montana and interest from Oklahoma.

“Its big time,” Matthews Jr. told DubVNation about his recent offer from head coach Bob Huggins.

“Coach Huggs is hall of fame no doubt! And to me that speaks volumes on the relationships Huggs looks to establish with his recruits and his players,” he continued.

Despite being on the West Coast, Matthews Jr. Seemed well versed in the Mountaineers.

“My man Jordan McCabe is committed and we’re close. Ive always been a fan of WVU. Just the style of play matches me. I’m just happy and blessed they want me to go to their school and play ball.”

Matthews Jr. does not claim any leaders in his recruitment at this time, but is planning a trip to Morgantown in the future.
