Another men’s basketball offer was extended to New York PG Anthony Nelson from South Kent High School.

Nelson checks in at 6-foot-4 and 180-pounds and uses his superior quickness and frame to get to the rim at will. Nelson stated that he was grateful for the WVU offer and was very excited when he first learned of it.

Nelson shared that he thinks the program is great and the style of play fits his game just right. He also  says the Big XII is a great conference and would be great to play in.

Nelson claims no leaders at this time but is working on visiting West Virginia at some point during the upcoming season. Nelson says he mirrors his game after different players like James Harden and Brandon Jennings, but his favorite team is the Cleveland Cavaliers and his favorite player is the LeBron James.

Nelson now boasts 22 offers including the likes of WVU, Dayton, Cincy, St.Johns, VCU and Seton Hall. Distance is not a factor for him in choosing a school, but Nelson did share that he’s looking for a school that fits his style of play, a great coaching staff and a great atmosphere.
