Rich Rodriguez Announces Tye Edwards Out for the Year

WVU football head coach Rich Rodriguez announced redshirt junior running back Tye Edwards will miss the rest of the season in the postgame press conference after WVU lost 45-13 to UCF.

Edwards became a WVU fan favorite after his three-touchdown performance in the Backyard Brawl on Sept. 13. He had 141 yards on 25 rushes in the game.

The only other game he received touches in was against BYU on Sept. 16, where he carried the ball twice for two yards. He has not played in a game since then.
