Twitter Reaction: WVU Basketball Sends Fans on Roller Coaster; Former Mountaineer Delivers Hot Take
Just when it seemed like Josh Eilert and his WVU basketball team was about to be blown out again, the Mountaineers stormed back and forced overtime. Unfortunately for WVU fans who stayed watching throughout the entire game, West Virginia still ended up on the losing end of another Big 12 game.
Below shows comments by fans during and after WVU’s 94-90 overtime loss to Kansas State. A former WVU football star even chimed in with his own hot take.
I see why it was so critical to get @RaeQuanBattle waiver approved…

Tough one in the Little Apple.
The K-State 11 3’s in the 1st Half were too much to overcome. Hell of a comeback, but didn’t execute well enough the final 2 minutes once they had the lead.
Two-game home stand coming up next. #WVU https://t.co/zUqNE5CZOx

As the great Greg Carey once said, gotta make your free throws. Kansas State (PG Perry) made theirs and WVU missed some big ones. Ballgame.

A key moment in the game was when WVU led 79-77 and missed two free throws that would have put them up 4 with about 15-seconds left. Instead, Kansas State drives the court after the 2nd miss to knot the game. https://t.co/GJjeWqPXFb
