WVU Product Jevon Carter Signs New Deal to Stay With Magic

Former Mountaineer Jevon Carter decides to continue with the NBA team he joined in the middle of the 2025-26 season. Carter agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, July 1, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Crater signed with the Magic in February five days after being waived by the Chicago Bulls. He averaged 7.2 points per in 30 games and one start with Orlando, bringing his season totals to an average of 6.4 points while shooting 40.1% from the field.

Carter started his eighth year in the NBA with the Bulls, having signed with his childhood favorite team in 2022. His career has included stops with the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns after being drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2018.

As a Mountaineer, Carter played all four years at WVU, averaging a career total of 12.3 points per game. He helped lead WVU to the Sweet 16 as a senior in 2018, averaging 17.3 points per game.
