The Mountaineer baseball team is no stranger to appearing on SportCenter’s top 10. That trend continued over the weekend with a diving stop by third baseman Kevin Brophy landing at No. 4 on the SC Top 10 list.

Brophy’s diving snag robbed Baylor second baseman Tre Richardson of potential extra bases in the fourth inning of WVU’s game against the Bears Sunday afternoon. Brophy also had hit and scored two runs in the Mountaineer victory. He also had a two-run home run in the series opener on Friday.

Brophy, a redshirt-senior, is batting .196 this season in 21 games. He is tied for the team lead with six home runs and is third on the team with 15 RBI. West Virginia is 12-14 so far this season, 4-5 in Big 12 play.

The Mountaineers will play a mid-week game against Marshall at Mon County Ballpark on Wednesday this week before welcoming Texas Tech for a three-game weekend series beginning on Friday.
