After a sluggish opening possession, the WVU offense then exploded and scored West Virginia’s first touchdown of the game against Baylor.

A burst by Jahiem White went 53 yards and set up a pass that was caught in the end zone by Traylon Ray. The two freshman set up the Mountaineers for the score. Ray’s touchdown catch was for 30 yards.

Garrett Greene completed five out of his first six passes for 55 yards after one quarter of play.

This touchdown served as the only score of the first quarter, giving WVU a 7-0 lead now in the second quarter.
