Watch: WVU Football Turns UCF Fumble Into Touchdown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — WVU football took advantage of a UCF mistake to double its first-quarter lead against the Golden Knights.

A botched handoff between UCF quarterback Dylan Rizk and running back RJ Harvey put the ball on the ground and WVU cornerback Dontez Fagan was nearly able to pick it up on the run for an easy touchdown.

Fagan lost his balance but still fell on the ball for the Mountaineers, whose offense easily matriculated the ball down the field. Jahiem White into the endzone from three yards out to double WVU’s early lead, 14-0.

WVU has dominated the Knights on the ground, running for 124 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter.
