What to Watch: Joe Mazzulla Leads Celtics Against Fellow WVU Product Jevon Carter, Bucks

It’s a premiere matchup in the NBA between two contending teams, but one of tonight’s nationally televised games also offers a reason for WVU fans to tune in.

Tonight’s battle between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, the NBA’s last two Eastern Conference champions, might just be about playoff positions and seeding to most fans, but Mountaineer Nation sees it as Joe Mazzulla leading his team against Jevon Carter.

Mazzulla has led the Celtics to the league’s best overall record, and will coach in the All-Star Game as his reward, in his first season as an NBA head coach. On the other hand, Carter has been able to establish himself as a productive member of the Bucks with a few breakout career-best performances this season.

As things stand entering the game, the Bucks sit only a game and a half behind Boston for the top spot in the East. This obviously means a game like this is very important for both teams.

Tonight’s game from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 EST and air on TNT.
