WVU Basketball Lands Commitment from Big 12 Transfer Forward
WVU basketball has received a commitment from Utah transfer forward Seydou Traore, per Zach Braziller in a post to X.
Traore averaged nine points and 3.4 rebounds per game in 31 starts last season, playing 28.6 minutes per game. His best game in Big 12 play came against WVU when he scored 17 points with six rebounds.
WVU had strong competition for the 6-foot-6 forward, as other teams interested are Louisville, LSU, Kansas State, Seton Hall, UConn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Michigan State. According to Braziller, WVU beat out UConn and Seton Hall for Traore’s commitment.

This was a massive get. Starting big 12 experience tough player on both ends. Will get more open looks with sadler running our offense. Now to land a solid backup 3 and a backup 4 and this season will be fun!!!!
