WVU Basketball on Rise in Recruiting Ranks for 2026 Class
The WVU basketball 2026 recruiting class is on the rise, steadily climbing the national ranks to No. 25 via 247 Sports.
The change in ranking occurred after the team received a commitment from three-star guard Kingston Whitty. WVU’s 2026 class also includes four-star center Aliou Dioum.
Ross Hodge’s next class could even improve more in the near future, with top-25 recruit Miles Sadler is scheduled for an official visit on October. 24.
Whitty, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect out of Christ School in North Carolina, locked in with Hodge and his staff, per a report from Travis Braham of 247 Sports.
Whittyโs commitment comes a couple weeks after his official visit to West Virginia.
Whitty, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, averaged 10.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
According to the Rivals Top 150 Player Rankings, Dioum is the No. 80 recruit in the 2026 class.
Dioum included WVU in his top six schools last month, joining Wake Forest, Illinois, Mississippi State, UNLV and Syracuse.
Sadler is a 5-foot-11 point guard for Bella Vista Prep in Arizona, and is currently a teammate ofย Dioum at Bella Vista.
