Last night, the Phoenix Suns opened their preseason with a win at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 111-106. Coming off the bench for the Suns is former West Virginia guard, Jevon Carter, as he was traded to Phoenix over the summer from the Memphis Grizzles. Jevon has already brought the “Treadmill Mentality” to the desert, and has been making a name for himself with his new team. In 20 minutes of action last night, Carter finished with nine points, two rebounds, three steals, and one assist.

Carter came into the game to backup Ricky Rubio, the Suns’ new free agent and expected starting PG. Jevon will have to battle for minutes with rookie PG Ty Jerome, who was drafted with the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of the University of Virginia. Jerome played 23 minutes last night and finished with twelve points, four assists, and one rebound.

You can watch Carter on Thursday as the Suns continue their preseason in Sacramento to play the Kings.
