West Virginia’s convincing 42-21 win over Cincinnati impressed a recruit so much, he decided to commit to the WVU football program right after game.

Scotty Fox, a class of 2025 quarterback out Mentor High School in Mentor, Ohio, announced his commitment to WVU Saturday evening following the game. Fox posted a graphic on social media and added “committed!!!” as the simple caption.

Fox, who initially received an offer from West Virginia back in May, has remained in steady contact with the WVU coaching staff, in particular passing game coordinator Sean Reagan.

He last visited Morgantown in September. Fox also earned offers from several other major programs, but is locking in with the Mountaineers despite having multiple seasons of high school left. Boston College, Kentucky, Indiana, Marshall, Michigan State and even the team West Virginia beat on Saturday Cincinnati are among the schools who offered Fox.
