The WVU football program sent an offer to a junior college player looking to try his game at the next level.

Keaton Thomas, a linebacker out of Northeast Mississippi Community College, revealed that he earned an offer from the Mountaineers on Monday night. He did this while showing West Virginia is one of several offers from major programs.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds, Keaton is ranked by most outlets as a three-star junior college player. He’s set to graduate in December. Keaton hails from Jacksonville, FL and is a Trinity Christian High School product. He was a two-way player with experience at both linebacker and wide receiver in high school.

In addition to WVU, Power Five schools like Baylor, Colorado and California are showing interest in Thomas. He’s also received official offers from schools like Memphis, Tulsa and Charlotte.
