WVU Football OL recruit Max Buchanan

A big day of recruiting in Florida for the WVU football program now includes an offensive lineman with a four-star rating, Max Buchanan tweeted his West Virginia offer Monday evening.

Buchanan (6-foot-5, 275 pounds) is a class of 2025 Sanford, Florida native who currently attends Seminole High School. He spent most of April attending spring games of Power Five schools and has been receiving offers ever since.

Even though Buchanan is regarded as a three-star by most national recruiting outlets, On3.com ranks him as a four-star player. He’s also considered a four-star on 247 Sports’ composite rankings.

Buchanan is within the top 50 2025 recruits in the state of Florida and as high as number 19 according to On3.com.

Major programs like Auburn, Florida State, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, USF and many others.

West Virginia’s offensive line is set to undergo an overhaul after the 2023 season when its veteran anchors likely depart for the NFL, prompting a need to build around quality recruits.
