WVU Football Re-Igniting Interest in Tennessee 2026 4-Star OL

The beginning of the year means the WVU football staff is trying to build next year’s high school recruiting class. Since the offensive line is so important in general, especially for a Rich Rodriguez offense, West Virginia sent an offer to a 2026 prospect with a four-star rating on Wednesday.
WVU actually re-offered Kamari Blair, a player who received his initial offer from the old staff on Nov. 4. “After a conversation with Coach (Jack) Bicknell, I am excited to be re-offered by WVU football,” said Blair as part of a post on X (formerly Twitter).ย

Blair is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive tackle out of Kirkwood High School in Clarksville, Tenn. Pushing Blair also continues West Virginia’s recruiting efforts in Tennessee from recent years.
Blair doesn’t have a star rating from every major outlet, but he is considered a four-star by one who does rate him. ESPN has awarded Blair four stars and ranks him as a the No. 7 player in Tennessee. Rivals has him as just a three-star right now.
As far as Blair’s most recent high school season, he helped lead Kirkwood to an 8-3 record and its first appearance in the state playoffs. During the 2024 season, he had 60 pancake blocks at left tackle for an offense that averaged 27.3 points per game. He even occasionally played defense.
Ole Miss recently offered Blair as well. Cincinnati, Kentucky, Memphis, and Vanderbilt are some of ย the notable schools who have had offers out to Blair for months. He’s also been in communication and visited Alabama and Mississippi State.
