WVU Football Recruiting
WVU Football Trying to Win Over 2027 4-Star DL
In the midst of working out the current WVU football roster, the coaching staff always has to also pay attention to recruiting future Mountaineers. West Virginia even sent an offer to a top 2027 prospect earlier in the same week that kicked off spring ball.
Nehemiah Ombati revealed his West Virginia offer on social media on March 3, receiving word during a phone call with WVU defensive line coach William Green.
Rated as a four-star out of Minnesota, Ombati is ranked as one of the top three players in the state and top 40 at his position around the country.
Showing Ombati’s notoriety, he also has major offers from Boston College, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
And on Feb. 26, Ombati announced eight schools as standing out above the rest – Iowa, Kansas State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin. He has an official visit booked with Minnesota for the weekend of May 29-31, as he determines if he wants to stay in his home state or go elsewhere.
