WVU Makes Tshiebwe’s Final Four

Published

Not long ago, top-tier recruit, Oscar Tshiebwe, had WVU on his list of eight schools that he will focus on, but earlier today he trimmed that list to four teams. WVU, Baylor, Illinois, and Kentucky.

247 Sports recently updated their ranking after the summer AAU circuit and Tshiebwe made a major leap. He is now listed as a five-star recruit after climbing 53 spots, and he is currently ranked as the 19th overall payer in the class of 2019 and the fifth rated center.

In my last article, I falsely stated that Tshiebwe is half-brothers with current Mountaineer, Sagaba Konate. After further research, I have discovered that they are not related in any way, but they have the same host-family here in America as both come from  Africa. They may not be related but both young men are very close, and with the way Konate has thrived at WVU, Tshiebwe can see himself doing just as well.

Tshiebwe has upcoming visits with Baylor (Aug. 31), Illinois (Sept. 7), and Kentucky (Sept. 28), but the Mountaineers were the first to show interest in him with an offer all the way back on July 22, 2016.
