The second half of the Frisco Bowl started off with some bad news for WVU. Running back Jahiem White has been ruled out for the rest of the game after suffering a hamstring injury in the first half.

White recorded 28 yards on seven touches before exiting the game with an injury. The half opened with Memphis leading 28-17 and the Tigers would score on their first possession to increase their lead to 35-17.

After emerging as a freshman sensation in 2023, White’s production dipped some during the 2024 regular season. He ran for 817 yards on 142 carries and scored seven touchdowns.
