WVU Sends Offer to PSU Transfer CB Marquis Wilson
West Virginia’s pursuit of transferring Penn State players moves to cornerback Marquis Wilson.
Just two days after Wilson announced his intentions to transfer and finish the rest of his college eligibility elsewhere, WVU has extended an offer to the Connecticut native.

Wilson, who played behind Joey Porter Jr., Kalen King, and Daequan Hardy last season, may be able to find increased playing time with the Mountaineers, a program in desperate need of secondary help. He recorded 20 total tackles, 12 solo, 8 assists and a forced fumble in 2022 for the Nittany Lions.
Overall in his four years in State College, Pennsylvania, Wilson posted 56 tackles, forced four fumbles, and two interceptions during his time at Penn State, with both interceptions coming in his freshman year.
Wilson was a three-star recruit in the 2019 class as he was the number four player in Connecticut, the No. 41 cornerback, and the No. 407 player nationally.
